Drew McIntyre’s Push

Drew McIntyre has been wasted by being buried and misused by WWE. This man is an amazingly sexy man, a chiseled and ripped body, his stone melting Scottish accent, his impressive move-set and believe me when I say, his fans would love to hear the epic entrance theme, “Broken Dreams” by ‘Shaman’s Harvest’ and see his coveted Future Shock DDT finisher.

Instead of having him as a wanna-be rock star, they should allow him to be Scottish, let him wear his kilt, carry the Saint Andrews Cross flag, let him speak like a Scot instead of trying to Americanize him. I sure don’t see WWE trying to Americanize Sin Cara, Epico, Primo, Alberto Del Rio and or Ricardo Rodriguez, Great Khali and even Jinder Mahal, why do they get special treatment by being allowed to keep their heritages in tact? I smell the sick smell of racism here, against Drew McIntyre… First they take away his kilt, then that fiasco with John Morrison as William Wallace, then that incident with Theodore Long telling McIntyre to take his kilt and bagpipes and get out, that is an insinuation that all Scots automatically wear kilts and play bagpipes. And now, they are taking away everything Scottish about him.

This sad treatment of McIntyre points to many factors concerning WWE. The number one problem is that WWE seems genuinely afraid of exploiting McIntyre’s talent instead of burying a super-talent like the Chosen One. If WWE were smart they would re-package McIntyre, by turning him face and giving him a submission hold, and build him up, make him a superior force to be reckoned with.

Hey, instead of trying to make an American out of him, which he is not, try giving the man a good solid push, it worked well with Sheamus, who started out as a heel and was turned face and became a huge fan favorite, you at WWE would see, it would work with McIntyre as well.
