Nothing

seinfeld

I recently told Gesus Oliver, that after writing three articles in four days that I was currently working on nothing. He said I was better than that. I told him I actually was writing an article like a 90s sitcom, Seinfeld. Most probably know what Seinfeld is, but for those who don’t, it was a show about nothing. So this article is about nothing in particular.

I don’t know how many of you watch “5 Things” on the WWE YouTube channel hosted by Tom Phillips. But the latest was predictions fans made about championships that would have happen by this time, next year. One was John Cena would beat Ric Flair’s 16 World Championships. I do believe Cena will eventually win 17; don’t know if it be by August 28, 2015, though.   Two was Heath Slater, Titus O’Neil or Slater Gator would win a championship. Why would fans predict this? I have no clue, but I can kind of see it happening. Third was Rollins, Reigns and Ambrose will all have been WWE World Heavyweight Champion. While all three have potential to be the WWE Champion, it might be stretching it a little to say they will all do it by this time next year. Four was AJ Lee will break her own record of longest Divas Championship reign.   AJ Lee’s reign was 295 days, there are 365 days in a year and AJ isn’t the current champion, so she’d need to win it back soon to break it. Five was a new championship would debut in WWE or NXT. I guess you could add a mid-card title to NXT, but really a new championship would be useless. Actually, I wouldn’t mind if they just send the United States Championship to NXT. Have Sheamus or whoever is the United States Champion at the time lose it to an NXT wrestler at a Takeover event.

Recently on TNA, Team 3D and the Hardy Boyz have reformed and been having matches against each other. Being a wrestling fan for about 30 years, I watched the Attitude Era. It’s weird to see those two teams without Edge & Christian. The Hardyz and Dudleyz were both teams longer then Edge and Christian but it still odd. From Wrestlemania 16 to Wrestlemania X-7, 9 times one of those 3 teams won the World Tag Team Championship from another of those 3 teams.   The World Tag Team Championship would change hands a total of 15 times in that period. All 7 of Edge and Christian’s reigns would be in that time period. Three of the Hardys’ 6 would be in that time period, 1 happened before and 2 after. Three of the Dudleys’ 8 would be in that time period; the first is actually the beginning of it. The other 5 were after. The Dudley Boyz also won the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Guardians of the Galaxy became the highest grossing movie of the 2014 summer. I was wondering, what was the highest grossing movie ever with a wrestler in it. So I went to boxofficemojo.com and looked it up. I looked at only the US box offices. The only movie that I saw that made more money than Guardians of the Galaxy that had a wrestler in it was 2002 Spider-Man.   Randy Savage has a minor role in it. So congratulations, Dave Bautista your movie is the most successful to ever star a wrestler. The previous record was the Rock in Fast & Furious 6.wwe

On September 11, 2014, Haven returns for its 5th season.   Adam “Edge” Copeland came in to guest star for 4 episodes in the 2nd season. The next season, he became more of a regular character. His character’s name is Dwight Hendrickson. If you are a fan of Edge and science fiction, you should give this show a try.

I end my article with one final thought. One thing great about the WWE Network is you can watch any old WWE pay-per-view.   If you have read any of my older articles, you might know I love Bobby Heenan. Not only was he the greatest manager of all-time, I think he’s the best announcer, too. The team of Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan is my favorite announce team by far. Recently on the WWE Network, I watched the 1992 Royal Rumble. I didn’t watch it for the matches but for Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan’s commentary during the Royal Rumble match. This is my favorite announce team at their best.wwe

Now it is time for a little rhyming.

This rhyme is about nothing.

This article is like the TV Show, Seinfeld.

I hope this article won’t get me expelled.

Since it’s just random thoughts put together.

While it was about nothing in particular.

I don’t think you would call it dull.

I hope you enjoy my nothing article.

Thank you, Strangely this started as a joke (as explained in the first paragraph), but I said you know what, I’m going to actually do it. So I just wrote things that were on my mind.
